How We Work

We're Mobile

We work online.  The Internet is everywhere, so you do the math. 

Often you can find us working from cafés, at the library, at the home office and even in real offices when we are working on projects with you.  We have office space in Vancouver's Gastown and we also commute to Burnaby frequently.

Occasionally we make appearances in Victoria, Montréal, Ottawa and Toronto.

Organized

We strive to put you first, all the time.  Sometimes that means we're working around the clock.  We keep focused on the task at hand but we also recognize that emergencies do come up.  We log our work orders and we track our time so we can at least be aware of why these things happen.  We don't force you to make helpdesk tickets or log things in dozens of places to get things done.  We do that for you.  In the long run that makes us more knowledgeable and more efficient.  Two things that greatly benefit you.

Thoughtful

We want to ensure that we fully understand any issues before we resolve them.  That means researching implications of changes to the site and proper testing.  If you want to rush to meet various crazy deadlines, all the time, we will probably try to slow you down.  We want things to be sane and stable.  We want to schedule time for your projects.  We want to help you see the big picture and get you there the simplest way possible that has the greatest possible return. 

Balanced

Yes, it needs to be said. 

We get out on the weekends.  We do check email, but we do not sit at our desks all day.  Staring at a screen non-stop seven-days-a-week is not healthy.  At all.  Going for a bike ride is a great way to get out if you're chained to your desk all the time.  Being in Vancouver we have plenty of outdoorsy activities to partake in.  Swimming, hiking, snowboarding and sailing are just a few of our favourites.
